AJ graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH where he attended the Richard T. Farmer Business School and played varsity ice hockey for the Redhawks. After spending three years at Morgan Stanley in Canton, OH he moved to Chicago to be closer to his future spouse Maggie Dorn. He accepted a job with Charles Schwab as a Financial Consultant in the Orland Park branch.
In December of 2018 AJ decided to join Vital Wealth Management, LLC and is passionate about building well-designed financial plans and investment portfolios for our clients. He brings with him 14 years of experience and enjoys getting to know each client personally and guide them towards making sound financial decisions. He pursued the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and received the mark in 2011.
As a CFP® professional AJ was required to pass both a comprehensive 10 hour, two day CFP® Certification Examination and the CFP Board's Candidate Fitness Standards. In addition, he also had to agree to abide by CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility which puts clients' interests first. CFP® Certificants are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years.
AJ is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Illinois and is involved in many of the organizations pro-bono efforts including Financial Planning Day. These events aim to connect Chicagoland residents with free financial advice from CFP® professionals and FPA members.
AJ is also an Adjunct Professor at Moraine Valley Community College teaching a Stock Market Basics class to give back and make an impact on the community. He is a teacher above all else and is passionate about teaching market education and helping clients make decisions that are in their best interests
